Beginner belly dance sequence – follow along!

So you have your first belly dance moves – woo hoo!  Now, the next stage I want you to master is putting some of them together. This is the really fun bit! You can do this by yourself and experiment with sequencing different moves. There is no right or wrong to this, so just go for it.

Hint: if your mind has gone blank thinking of moves, I have two (free) entire playlists that I think you’ll love. Take a look at my “Learn belly dance moves” list here. You might also like my “One minute belly dance moves” list here.

Once you’ve had a go at free-styling with the moves, why not have a go at creating your own routine?

If you’re not sure where to start, my class and assignments below will help get you started!

In this sequence you will cover many belly dance fundamentals: footwork, hip drops and lifts, shoulder shimmies and hip shimmies with arm frames.

Why not dive in now and follow along!

Your belly dance assignment

If you’ve just started your bellydance journey, your assignment is to master these moves by themselves. Then, have a go at following along with the sequence with me.

If you’re an experienced belly dancer, your assignment is to learn the sequence, THEN start substituting some of the moves with your own movement  ideas. This way you’ll end up with your very own sequence. Cool hey?!

If you’re really keen to start developing your own choreography and improvisation skills, I think you’ll love a couple of the classes in my online studio, for instance 👇
